Sara Lazar, a neuroscientist at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, was one of the first scientists to take the anecdotal claims about the benefits of meditation and mindfulness and test them in brain scans. What she found surprised her — that meditating can literally change your brain. - The Washington Post

As we open the windows and clear out the stagnant energy winter leaves behind in our homes, it's the perfect time to do the same with our bodies. The changing of the seasons is an ideal time to incorporate some self cleansing practices. This is a powerfully energizing and detoxing practice you can adopt for a day or two to give you a quick tuneup or take it on for an entire month to revitalize every cell in your body.

The Dieppe Commandos are off to the Fred Page Cup next week! They have worked hard this season to get where they are and yoga has been part of their off ice training. Yoga improves not only balance, strength and flexibility but also posture, range of motion and awareness. The practice of yoga can improve your game. We are wishing them the BEST in their next series!

Spring might be here but with snow still on the ground you might want to try a hot smoothie to keep you warm while you dream of tulips and green grass! And here's a tip for your spices; try fresh turmeric by grating the root into your recipe, and fresh cardamom and cinnamon by blending the dried spices in a spice grinder. You'll find an amazing difference versus bottled spices.
All ingredients including the nut milk bag are available at Sequoia Dieppe.

We all have a unique capacity to cope during the periods of high emotional, physical, mental or environmental stress that comes from work, travel, over-thinking, family, money, change of seasons, trauma, losing a loved one, lack of sleep, excessive exercise/not enough exercise.....(the list goes on & on)

The choices we make daily either support that capacity or deplete it.

The times when we are most stressed and require the most support are generally when we rely on our most depleting habits to get us through. Burning the candle at both ends... cramming for an exam, working night shift, breast feeding, up all night with a sick relative...and relying on 10 cups of coffee to get you through the next day.

These 3 steps will build your reserves and enhance your capacity to cope.

Start your day of on the right path with an early morning yoga class and a nourishing breakfast bowl that you can personalize to your taste! Try changing the grain, the spices, and the toppings!

What Client's Say

Alexandra Ready

Thank you for the wonderful, enlightening workshop on Sunday. The most helpful part of the workshop was the information given on the new routine. I have implemented all aspects (rising with the sun, movement ,tongue scrapping, warm lemon water, largest meal mid day, oil massage, bed by 10pm) into my daily routine since Sunday, and I am already noticing a difference in how well I sleep, feeling more energetic and positive. Positivity is a daily struggle for me, and when I find things that help me move towards my goal of being a more positive happy person, I am over the moon, and I thank you for bringing this into my life! Especially as a mommy to be.

Again, thank you both for such an informative enlightening workshop. I hope you might hold something similar before baby arrives!
