Kristy was born under a new Sagittarian moon in Moncton NB, with a gypsy soul and a radiant open heart. Kristy loves nature and thrives on new adventure and exploration. Kristy's love of travel and passion for yoga led her to Tulum, Mexico where she began to explore herself on a deeper level. Over the years she explored many styles of yoga including Bikram, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Bhakti, Kundalini, and Yin yoga. Kristy fell in love with Vinyasa yoga. "The rhythmic connection between breath and movement is a beautiful thing" she says.
Soon after, her journey led her to Baja California, Mexico where she studied Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga at Yandara Yoga Institute. There she completed her 200hr YTT and is Yoga Alliance Certified. Her background in Bikram Yoga and her passion for health and fitness has enabled her to cultivate creative and dynamic sequencing suitable for all levels. "My goal is to hold a safe and inviting space where my students feel encouraged to move freely. I invite all my students to explore their authentic selves and to creatively express themselves through the connection of breath and movement, making every practice their very own. By teaching yoga I hope to inspire others to cultivate a healthy body, let go of the should and shouldn'ts, quiet the mind, open the heart, and let the radiance shine from within."
Kristy recently completed Post & Pre Natal training at Therapudic Approach Yoga Studio in Halifax, NS. She also attended Wanderlust Festival in Whistler, BC where she practiced extensively with Shiva Rae and Eoin Finn, both who she admires deeply. She also hopes to dive deeper into Yin yoga within the coming months.

I started going to Pura Vida when I was experiencing anxiety from stress and having regular panic attacks. Having taken medication for anxiety in the past I wanted to explore other methods before having to take medication again.
