How To Relax? A little book by Thich Nhat Hanh. Did I really need a book that would share techniques to help keep my life into balance? Well apparently I did and I love the small steps recommended  that one can take throughout the day. My big takeaway is that I need to do 2 things on a regular basis… First is to Stop… establish myself in the here and the now… The Present… there is always something to be happy or grateful about. Then look deeply at what you are doing, notice the beauty of your surrounding and connect with this moment, this is all that truly matters.  Notice how your breath become deeper and slower. Our body knows how to relax, we all just need to listen to it! So easy  to do but yet...
Un petit livre qui offre des techniques simples qui aident à relaxer. Mes deux grandes révélations ont été les suivantes; la première est de nous arrêter régulièrement au courant de notre journée afin de se remettre dans le moment présent. Prendre conscience du moment Présent et de noter toutes les belles choses qui  nous entourent , les bienfaits de la gratitude sont énormes. La seconde action est de garder cette "présence" dans ce que l'on fait dans ce moment présent. Si vous marcher ou faites des commissions, soyer présent à l'intérieur des ces tâches.. Vous allez noter immédiatement le rallentissement de votre respiration et la sensation du bien-être de ce moment. Deux petites actions aussi simple mais trop facile à oublier.

For someone who has never been much of an active person, I got my proof this morning of how much I now love hot yoga which I started about 6 months ago. Since I didn't get to a class in the last week while Marc was away, I was up and ready for an 1.5 hour class this morning. I got there only to realize I had gotten the time wrong and had missed the class. I felt like crying, truly sad. Very strange feeling for me, as I've never felt this way about any sort of physical activity. Feeling grateful that I've found an activity that nurtures my body and soul. Thank you Pura Vida!!
